Composer, Conductor and Pianist

Dwight Stone has performed numerous concerts in duo and solo appearances in the last decade. His compositions reflect his experience in all facets of music, including vocal, choral, brass, orchestra, guitar and piano. Stone's harmonic language lies in the tonal realm, between consonance and dissonance while maintaining an appealing aesthetic.

Recent commissions include Whither Thou Goest (2010 for piano solo) and An Irish Blessing (2011 for women's ensemble). The Pacific Masterworks Chorus will feature choral compositions by Stone in 2012.

Dwight Stone appears frequently with the Contra Costa Performing Arts Society and in solo piano performances.

Dwight Stone resides in Walnut Creek where he is currently orchestrating a suite for piano and orchestra, and is available for commissions, performances and guest conducting.
